SOVIET SOYUZ COSMONAUT SEWAGE SANITARY DEVICE (TOILET)

It's offered to your attention the part of the Soviet space toilet - cosmonaut's sewage sanitary collector, one of the variations used for Soyuz program.

Such toilets work as vacuum cleaners - their tanks connect to vacuum pump. Urine and faeces are sucked into the tanks through the filters and then separated. Then undistillable products are wasted.

The manufacturer of the space toilet is NPP Zvezda - the famous Soviet enterprise producing life support systems from pilots and cosmonauts, ejection seats, spacesuits etc.

COA can be given to the buyer upon request.

Condition - used as an exhibit. Technically its work has not been tested.

Historical reference. Since the space flights duration went up, the cosmonauts needed to utilize their "human wastes", in other words, they needed space toilets. This space toilet is the earliest in the Soviet space program. Using of such toilets began with Soyuz spacecraft in early 1970-s. This particular toilet was used as an exhibit in Museum of Atheism in Kiev, Ukraine, what was disbanded in 1990-s.
