RUSSIAN SOKOL KV-2 COSMONAUT PRESSURE SUIT GLOVES


It's offered to your attention the pair of "space gloves" used by a number of Russian cosmonauts for training for their missions onboard Salyut-6,7 and MIR. These gloves are to fit "Sokol KV-2" cosmonaut pressure suit required to put on while lift off and recovery onboard Soyuz. For the space flights Russian cosmonauts use identical pair of gloves, but made individually for each cosmonaut, with cosmonaut's initials on them.


Each glove consists of pleated nylon canvas overglove, molded rubber hand, black leather palms aattached by straps to base of fingers, the palm pad containing a spoon-shaped metal strut, adjustable nylon web belt attached internally and by means of a D-ring to strut, anodized aluminium wrist coupling to join to sleeves of spacesuit.
