VOSHOD-2 LIFE SUPPORT SYSTEM UNIT BERKUT EVA SPACE SUIT


This unit is the onboard part of life support system for "Berkut" pressure suit designed in the Soviet Union for the first in the world EVA accomplished by cosmonaut Alexey Leonov in 1965 as the main purpose of Voshod-2 space mission!

In 2005 NPP "Zvezda" (the manufacturer of Voshod-2 "Berkut" pressure suit life support system) published the book named "Space suits of Russia". Below is the scan of the description of life support system from this book given on pages 63-65.

This particular unit is shown on the illustration from Zvezda book, on the left.

The photo and the description from the manufacturer's book is the best proof of authenticity for this unit. If necessary, the additional COA can be given to the buyer upon request. Probably a copy of Zvezda book may be sent to the buyer too.

MAIN DIMENSIONS - about 20x12 inches.

CONDITION - USED for space mission; mechanically and electronically NOT TESTED.
